The footing will be poured Wednesday, May 9.
The rebar will add strength so that the 12′ tall side walls do not fall over. The footing wil be 5′ wide and 16″ tall. It’s big ! ; )

Jim Farmer began the excavation today 04-30-07.
When Jim is ready, Billy Finn the forms guy, will erect the concrete forms / foundation.

We will break ground during the first or second week of May. The purpose is to add on a few thousand square feet to make room for my Mom and Dad who moved in with me, May 2006. This will also add a large storage that we desperately need and a new DJ equipment area.
So, there is excitement in the air as we enter May, 2007. Shown in the photo is a look at the back of our complex where the new footprint is. The pavement has been cut so that the excavator can tear it up leaving a neat line for the asphalt to be seamlessly replaced at the end of the job. 640 cubic yads of fill will be removed to make way for the new cellar.
